Frequently asked questions
If you don't see your question here, reach out through the Contact page — a real person will get back to you.
How does Nechama actually work?
You can either sign up for guided help, where we ask a few questions and build a checklist for your family's situation, or browse the marketplace directly if you already know what you need. Both paths use the same verified providers, cart, and checkout.
Is there a cost to use Nechama, and how are prices shown?
There's no charge to browse, sign up, or build a checklist. You only pay for the specific services and products you choose to order, and each listing shows its price up front before you add it to your order.
Can a family member abroad help pay?
Yes. Nechama is built with families who have members outside the country in mind — an authorized family member can be invited to view an order and contribute to payment without needing to manage every detail themselves.
How are providers vetted before they're listed?
Every provider goes through a verification review — including their documentation and service details — before they appear as verified in the marketplace. We also keep monitoring ratings and completed orders over time, not just at sign-up.
What happens to the information I share?
We only use your family's information to arrange and support the services you request. We don't sell personal data, and access inside Nechama is limited to the people directly helping with your order.
Can I change or get help with an order after I've placed it?
Yes — from your dashboard you can message the provider, request a correction, or contact support for a refund review. Someone will follow up; you're not on your own once an order is placed.
